The New Apostolic Nuncio arrives in Tanzania

The new Apostolic Nuncio to Tanzania His Excellency Archbishop Marek Solczyński has arrived in Tanzania on July 12 this year ready for his mission in the country.

The Vice-President of Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) Archbishop Beatus Kinyaiya, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Vatican Embassy Monsignor Daniel Pacho, Bishop Liberatus Sangu of the Catholic Diocese of Shinyanga, Bishop Alfred Maluma of the Catholic Diocese of Njombe, Deputy Secretary General of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference Rev Fr. Daniel Dulle and other delegates from TEC and the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam gave him a warm welcome.

Prior to his appointment, the new Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Solczynski was a Vatican Ambassador in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Nuncio has promised to work closely with the Tanzania Episcopal Conference and continue developing the Church.
